Print Only Exhibition 2022 Call For Entries


The Gallery at Green & Stone is pleased to announce that it is now accepting entries for its first Print only exhibition.

The purpose of the Exhibition is to represent what is happening in the contemporary world through the medium of print. Artists are advised but not limited to follow the theme of ‘Sharing Information’. We look forward to seeing how artists interpret this theme in any way possible.

The competition is open to printed artwork and editions in any form. This includes but is not limited to etching, woodcut, lithography, linocuts, monoprints, screen printing and drypoint. No original artworks can be submitted unless in the remit of print.

You may enter up to four works, with each entry costing £10. When you register to enter the Exhibition and pay your entry fee, then download the Entry Form. Should you encounter any problems, such as being unable to download the Entry Form, please email

Terms & Conditions

1.1 The competition is open to all artists over 18 years. A third party (e.g. gallery, agent or other representatives) may submit work on behalf of the artist, but the third party must confirm that they have the full permission of the artist to enter their work. If you are so authorised, You agree to be bound by these Terms and assume the liabilities set out in these Terms.
2.1 The competition is open to printed artwork and editions in any form. This includes but is not limited to etching, woodcut, lithography, linocuts, monoprints, screen printing and drypoint. No original artworks can be submitted.
2.2 By submitting Your Work(s), You confirm that the Work(s) is in a condition to withstand normal rigours of handling and display at Green & Stone. Whilst we will always do our very best to ensure the safety and security if your work, Green & Stone is not liable for any damages to artwork or frames that may occur whilst artwork is in our gallery.
2.3 By submitting Your Work(s), You confirm that the Work(s) is free and clear of any liens, claims, encumbrances or restrictions, that the use of the Work(s) under these Terms will not infringe upon or violate the rights of any person or entity, and that to the best of Your knowledge and belief the Work(s) has not been exported from any country and shall not be imported into the United Kingdom in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
2.4 If You do not own all of the rights, title and interest in and to the Work(s), You must expressly inform Green & Stone in writing of all relevant details concerning all other third parties rights to the Work(s). You shall indemnify Green & Stone against all losses, liabilities, costs and expenses in respect of claims made by third parties alleging partial or total ownership of the Work(s) or any rights in the Work(s), including intellectual property rights.
2.5 If You are submitting Work(s) from abroad then taxes may be levied at the port of entry into the UK. You will not list Green & Stone as the importer of the Work(s). You agree to indemnify Green & Stone for any charges or taxes incurred by it as a result of (1) the importing of the Work(s) for the purposes of display in the Exhibition and (2) for any back taxes due from You to HMRC on or arising from any sale of the Work(s).
3.1 You may enter up to four works, with each entry costing £10. If you pay for and enter more than 4 entries, we will not include them and you will NOT be refunded. When you register to enter the Exhibition and pay your entry fee, you will be supplied with your Entry Form.
3.2 Your Entry Form must be completed and submitted by You strictly in accordance with The Instructions for Entering (“the Instructions”) which can be found below. Failure to do this will mean that the Work(s) submitted under the Entry Form is inadmissible and will be withdrawn from the selection process for the Exhibition.
3.3 You will not receive a refund if You register for an Entry Form and later withdraw Your application. The entry fee is non-refundable.
4.1 Green & Stone will appoint a guest judge.
4.2 All judges shall be appointed by The Gallery at Green & Stone in such number and of such qualifications as it sees fit at its sole discretion.
4.3 All works will be judged anonymously, and there will be no segregation by country, genre or style etc.
4.4 No feedback will be provided to successful or unsuccessful applicants.
5. Refusal of or Withdrawal of Work
5.1 Green & Stone may accept or decline any Work(s) submitted for the Exhibition entirely at its own discretion. Green & Stone’s decision is final.
5.2 Green & Stone reserves the right to deny admission or withdraw a Work(s) from the Exhibition if for any reason the Work(s), or any circumstances surrounding the display of the Work(s), appears to Green & Stone to expose it to potential or actual damage to its reputation, risk of legal proceedings or enforcement including, without limitation, the alleged breach of third party intellectual property rights.
6.1 Artists that are chosen from the first round of digital submission, will be notified by email on 8 December 2021.

Instructions for Entering Work to the Exhibition

1.1 You must first purchase your Call for Entries. You can purchase up to 4 entries.
1.2 Once you have paid for your Call for Entries you can then download your Entry Form. 
1.3 Once You have downloaded ‘Entry Form’, open and complete the entire form. Make sure to read the instructions once again. 
2.1 Please fill out the entire form with the correct details. You must fill out 1 form per entry. Each entry costs £10 and you may purchase up to 4 entries. You will not be able to resubmit should you make a mistake and these will be the final details we use online and on artwork labels.
2.2 Should you fail to fill out the entire form, your entry may not be considered.
2.3 Once you have completed the entire form and have double-checked all information, please email your completed form along with your labelled image to
3.1 You must supply professionally photographed images of your artworks, or images to an extremely high standard. Failure to do so will result in your application being refused.
3.2 Manipulation of digital photographs including colour enhancing and cropping will result in immediate disqualification.
3.3 Your digital image MUST be labelled in the following format: SurnameForename_ArtworkTitle
4.1 You must submit the details and digital photographs of your Work(s) online by the 1 December 2021. Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered. 
4.2 The final list of exhibitors for the Summer Exhibition will be announced on the 8 December 2021. Successful applicants will then have 5 weeks to frame work before they must deliver their work to the Gallery between 13–14 January 2022.
5.1 All two-dimensional works submitted must be framed. The use of simple, neutral coloured frames is strongly encouraged. Metal, glass and Perspex clip frames are not acceptable.
5.2 Framing of works is the responsibility of the artist and must be carried out prior to delivery.
5.3 All works must be exhibition-ready. Suitable hanging fixtures should be supplied, sufficient to carry the weight of the work.
5.4 Artists are reminded that it is highly recommended that the exhibiting artists insure with a reputable insurance company their works of art for their market value. 
6.1 The following types of work are inadmissible:
  • works that are over the specified size limit of 80 x 80cm;
  • original artworks that are not printed or editions;
  • works that are not recently made, and which therefore do not support the purpose of the Exhibition in representing what is happening in the contemporary art world;
  • works not available to buy.
7.1 You will be required to state the price you wish to charge for your work on your Entry Form. This price cannot be changed and will be printed in the List of Works and online.
7.2 Green & Stone will take a commission of 20% on all works sold during the exhibition. Artists must make sure that their sale price includes this commission. Works sold would also be subject to VAT and this has to be taken into account when pricing. The desired price that the artist would like to receive needs to be multiplied by 1.44 to get to the total gallery asking price.

8.1 The delivery cost of the work to and from the exhibition is the responsibility of the artist, and the artists shall be responsible for any import custom charges and duties. 
8.2 All work should be delivered unwrapped when delivering in person. Please drop off at The Gallery at Green & Stone, 251 Fulham Road, London, SW3 6HY. Receiving days are 13–14 January 2022 from 10AM to 4.30PM
8.3 We suggest that you add soft padding to all corners of your work for transportation.
9.1 All selected work being delivered to the gallery must be labelled with exactly the same information used in your digital submission. Please print off the label on Page 6 and attach to the back of your artwork.
